N.J. man appeals missing police dashcam video case to Supreme Court

LINDEN — An Elizabeth man is seeking a state Supreme Court review of his argument that the Linden Police Department’s failure to keep dashcam footage of his drug arrest should result in the dismissal of the charges.

Arrend Santiago was arrested in Linden on March 18, 2014 after he was stopped for allegedly making a sudden left turn without a signal, authorities said.

During the traffic stop, officers found a cache drugs – including marijuana and cocaine – along with $34,800 deemed the suspected proceeds of drug sales, authorities have said.
